Dig the pile
Take several cards from the discard pile at once, as long as the deepest one goes straight into a meld.

Rummy and melding · 2 to 8 players
500 Rummy is rummy where everybody scores every hand. Every card you meld counts for you, every card stuck in your hand counts against you, and the discard pile stays open, several cards deep, for anyone bold enough to dig.
500 Rummy is one of the 21 games in Cards Royale.

How it plays
Each player gets seven or ten cards, depending on the table, and five or more players play with two decks shuffled together.
On your turn, draw from the stock or dig several cards deep into the discard pile, as long as you meld the deepest card right away.
At the end of each hand you add what you melded and subtract what you hold, and the first player alone on top at 500 or more wins.

The moments you play for
Two to eight players and a lively evening.
Take several cards from the discard pile at once, as long as the deepest one goes straight into a meld.
Add your cards to anyone's meld on the table, and the points for those cards are yours, not theirs.
Every discard stays within reach, so the card you give up may be the one an opponent digs out later.
